Jazz in Marciac 2009 programme announced

The annual two week Jazz in Marciac festival has announced its programme for 2009. Singers and musicians for this August festival include Sonny Rollins, Omara Portuondo (of the Buena Vista Social Club), Wynton Marsalis, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clark and Jacky Terrasson, to name but a few. Mirande Country Festival 2009 programme

The Mirande Country Festival opens its doors from 9 - 14 July. Lorenzo Lamas of Falcon Crest is opening the festival. This years headliners are: ROCH VOISINE, COCK ROBIN, MICHELLE WRIGHT, RICKY NORTON and MIKE SANCHEZ. Book tickets at: www.country-musique.com

Ryan Air fly to Lourdes/Tarbes for the skiing season

The Lourdes/Tarbes airport is just 30 minutes away from Cardeillac and the ski slopes of the Pyrenees are now so much more accessible with this new Winter service from Ryan Air. Within an hour from our gîte, you can be at the top of the piste and not have to stand around in the ski lift queues of the Alps. Find out about the flights on the Ryan Air site. Some flights are just £10 plus airport tax, but they're going fast!

Our swimming pool is ready to take the plunge!

The swimming pool is finally complete and is ready for our visitors to take a dip. Specially set up with subtle laser beams to set off an alarm should any youngsters decide to investigate the pool when the parents are not around. Fully decked with sun loungers and set in a discreet part of the garden, it adds an extra dimension to your stay at Cardeillac.

The Pyreneean Ski season is most definitely open!

The ski stations are now officially open for the season. The pistes are in perfect condition and there are no queues for the lifts, unlike some places we could mention.
